This nice case has its original finish, nicely cleaned and waxed. The chapter portion of the dial has been professionally re-papered, including the proper Ansonia information at the bottom edge (a very nice job); the inner part is original. The brass hardware and movement have been cleaned and polished. Note the Capital enjoyed a long model run and a couple of styles exist; the half finial trim on the door have been seen before, but do not appear in the Ansonia catalogs we have. Bottom finial is loose and may need new dowel. This clock is running and ready to hang on your wall. Height 54"
