The movement is 8 day, spring, 3 train, striking Westminster chimes on quarter hours on 4 rod chimes. It has a painted metal dial and attractively designed front glass. The case is made of Honduras mahogany, polished like fine furniture, and stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall. The hood slides off like the early tall clocks, broken arch style, narrow waist. The brass pendulum bob is cylinder type. This is a little bigger and a little nicer than the English Grandmother clocks, but not as big as the early tall clocks.
