Early Black Forest clock made from two pieces of wood.

Carvings, etchings, and designs all over, even the dial numerals are part of the piece The backboard is 41 1/2 inches high and hangs on a nail. The front piece with movement attached is 24 inches high and hangs on the same nail as the backboard. Typical Black Forest movement, 30 hours, wood plates, brass wheels, powered by 2 cuckoo weights. Strikes half hour and hours on a coil gong, cuckoo style. The movement is very dirty but will run several minutes before stopping. I see only one repair made to the wood case. Metal pendulum is 36 inches long. Unusual clock, wouldn't you say?
