Sets and winds from the back. 9 1/2 inch metal case has most of the original finish. The clock is signed and running. The monkey is reading from the Bible, "Genesis and after God made man after his own likeness ". The eyes move up and down and the monkey's jaw moves up and down, slowly. The monkey is bronzed spelter with a painted tin book. When you can find these rare animated clocks they generally ask $1500 or more.
