Black Forest carved case clock. Cuckoo style dial and hands. Round French silk thread movement, strikes grand sonnerie on 2 gongs. 8 day, 3 train,chain fusee movement. Repeat chime pull cord on the right side of the dial. The dial numerals and hands are carved wood, brass chain ripple around the dial and on 4 corners of the wood plate around the dial. The heavy carvings are what makes this clock. Almost every inch of the 29 inch high case is carved or with a design. Starting with the 4 large claw feet on the base,the fox with his head out one hole and tail out another. Fox holes on each side of the case. Cuckoo type back door. Probably mahogany or similar wood,not oak. The case is near perfect. No label or markings on the movement.
