Self Winding Clock Co., New York, ca 1880's. Case and movement made by Seth Thomas. Without looking real close you would think this is a Seth Thomas clock. It is as original and near mint as they come. 2 good labels on the base, case untouched, perfect dial, movement, wiring, bell on top is original. Clock was used in schools, factories, etc. Batteries in the case and the clock is running. The Antique Oak case is 41 inches high, 181/2 inches wide, well constructed, their best cabinet finish, 12 inch white enameled dial. The movement is signed "Self Winding Clock Co., has Graham dead beat escapement, nicely polished solid steel pinions. Ly-American, Volume2, No.696, 661.
