Winterhalter & Hoffmeyer Cathedral style case. Black Forest type shelf clock. Double chain fusee movement, strikes bim bam on quarters and hours, petite sonnerie. 2 large standing gongs, movement is signed and running,at least 8 days. The movement has been serviced and the case cleaned and glued where needed. It is complete and original. The case is 27 1/2 inches tall, 14 1/2 inches wide. Full back door with latch, cathedral windows on the sides, covered with cloth. Each corner has 4 round pillars, 5 spires and a cross on top, carvings over the entire case. The wood is dark oak. The 2 dial rings have been resilvered, brass is clean and polished, key lock front door. Extraordinary workmanship.
