The shaped scrolling crest over a glazed door enclosing a painted wooden dial inscribed 'R. Whiting Manchester', over waist with arched door on boxed base with cut-out feet and scrolled skirt, red and black graining similating rosewood; thirty-hour wooden gear movement, weight-drive with strike (dial retouched) - 86 3/4 x (w) 17 1/4 x (d) 9 1/2 in.
