The painted dial incorporating a subsidiary seconds dial, days-of-the-week aperture and phases of the moon set in a Dutch landscape, all within a painted chapter ring with Roman numerals, with a painted scene of the Judgment of Solomon below, the hood with a broken pediment and three urn-form finials, over a verre eglomise frieze, raised on ebonised colonnettes with gilt-metal Corinthian capitols and vases, the trunk with a geometrically molded door centered by a lenticle with a pierced gilt brass cover, flanked by similar columns, the base decorated with chevron banding, with a pierced pendant and bracket feet all raised on a molded platform with canted bracket feet - 111 3/4 (264 cm) high.
