The round dial has been repainted, if it were originally signed, the name was not retained by the dial painter. A handsome 84 inch mahogany case with slim tapered lines and nice scrollwork on top, large wood bezel around the glass, rounded door, tapered quarter columns, a generous use of burl mahogany all down the front. Old iron weights and pendulum. The door knob altered as it was probably broken, and the latch was changed. Typical English 8 day bell strike movement. It has been serviced and is running nicely. Case is clean and magnificent with the rich mahogany wood grains and the use of burl veneer.
