Gustav Becker 2 weight Vienna regulator. 8 day gong strike on hour and half hour. Signed movement with SNNo.428714, ca 1880-1885. It has maintaining power and seconds dial. 2 piece porcelain dial mounts in the French style. Exceptional seat board mounts are brass. The movement is not original to this case, but is clean, shows no extra holes or repairs, and is running. All brass is clean and polished, the brass bob, weights, and dial rings. 48 inch walnut case has some ebony trim, turned half columns, nice capitals and bases, and tapered tail. Top is a replacement. Finials are always a question mark. No beat scale. Comes with an old winding key.
