Case of old oak, never cleaned or refinished. Oak has aged to the dark reddish color you seldom see. It is 40 1/2 inches high. 10 inch painted dial is original, has a seconds subsidiary dial. Old and correct hands, bob, and beat scale. The label in the base is suspect but better than having none. 15 day movement is a large double spring with Graham dead beat escape. A small hole in the side of the case but most all Umbria's have the same hole. They were probably made that way at the factory as most of them were used to activate alarms in schools or other buildings. Ly-Seth Thomas No.474.
