This is one of several hanging clocks Waterbury made using an open bottom or exposed weights and pendulum. This series used both plain and twisted brass weights. 8 day, half hour striking movement with the pull up chain winding feature. This clock is a good runner. Dark oak case is 47 1/2 inches high, appears to be complete and original with one exception - 2 small trim pieces missing about midway of the case. Great silver dial, brass hands, brass twisted weights, and pendulum. There are 2 labels on the back, protected by plastic. Ly-Waterbury No.570A.
