One of a series made by Seth Thomas commerating the new century. Others were the Yorktown and Putman. Case is dark mahogany, carved splat, columns, and feet. Other parts are mahogany veneer. The case is 36 inches high, 18 inches wide at the base. Clock is untouched, original, including the glasses. Note the glass has been rebacked where flaking had occurred in the white section. None of the scene itself had flaked. 8 day brass lyre movement, No.18, is signed. Has a full label, old weights and pendulum, and signed zinc painted dial. Running very strong. The heavy wire should be discarded and the movement restrung. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 274.
