F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York. Vienna Regulator, ca 1888. Polished light walnut case with ebony trim so typical of the Kroeber Vienna clocks of this era. 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in the Vienna style. Hangs on 4 metal posts on the back of the case. Movement serial number is No.28867, same as on the brass plate behind the porcelain dial, and on the mounting plate. Movement is signed, "F. Kroeber, New York". 7 inch, 2 piece porcelain dial with a seconds dial. Several hairlines would probably disappear if cleaned. All 3 hands are original but missing the tips? Brass weight, bob, dial ring, pulley, are all good. Kroeber catalog 1887-1888, or 1888-1889 for similar Kroeber Vienna clocks. I am positive this is one of the numbered Kroeber Vienna Regulators.
