Made during the 2 year period it was a joint company. Jerome's company failed and was taken over by New Haven. Jeromes name is on the dial. Pictured in the New Haven section of Ly's Calendar Clocks, page 201, and Millers "Calendar Clocks", page 127. This is "the" clock pictured in Millers. It belonged to N.H. Neames according to the Miller book, and his name is on the back of this clock. The movement is a 30 hour lever, striking a bell. The clock shown in Ly-Calendar, strikes a wire gong. The octagon wood case is 13 inches with pearl inlay and rich gold etchings all around the case. Rare for many reasons, especially because of the calendar and bell strike. There is a lot of documentation on this rare old clock.
