16 inch polished brass case is almost completely covered with rich gold ornaments. The majority of the gold has held fast, but there is some wear on the edges. Brass should be polished to obtain the desired look. Movement is 8 day, rack and snail strike, half hour and hours on a gong. Porcelain dial and movement are signed. Has the desirable Ansonia open escapement. There are a couple of insignificant hairlines on the outer dial ring. Ly-Ansonia No.337.
