"Patent Lever, Brass, Eight Day Clocks made and sold by C.&L.C. Ives, Bristol, CT" Wagon spring driven, strap brass, 8 day movement, is running, and strikes an iron bell. Original dial, pendulum, hands, good full label. Nice Moberg tablet and old mirror. One of two locks working, has key. 36 1/2 mahogany veneer case, good veneer all around. Fluted edge and painted round full columns, flat front above and below. Brass ornaments on the chimneys, splat has been redone. 4 turned ball feet. Reference - "The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology, 1810-1862", by Kenneth D. Roberts, Revised Second Edition, pages 92-94 shows an identical case, movement, and label.
