"Williams, Orton, Preston's & Co., Farmington, CT" 8 day, round brass movement, the Silas B. Terry variant, strikes a wire gong. Great wood dial with a lot of gold, large full label, period weights, bob, and hands. 32 1/2 inch mahogany veneer case has full turned columns, beveled top. Original and very nice except for a veneer piece off the top right and a small (l inch) piece of molding at top left. Great original portrait (Napoleon?) with some flaking in the center, top glass cracked, mirror original. Reference - "Eli Terry and the Connecticut Shelf Clock", Second Edition Revised, by Kenneth D. Roberts and Snowden Taylor, page 297.
