"Patent Eight-Day Clocks. Invented by Eli Terry, Made and sold at Plymouth, Connecticut, by E. Terry & Sons". 8 day, group l, mahogany movement, strikes an iron bell. The clock has been completely restored, including a Martha Smallwood repainted dial. Glasses are original or perhaps rebacked. Period weights, pendulum, hands, and complete label. Lower half columns are carved, upper are stenciled. Carved eagle splat, very nice carved feet, no breaks. There is some new wood visible in the movement where repairs were made to put it to running. 37 1/2 inch mahogany veneer case has been perfectly restored. Has some unusual features such as a seconds dial, wood trim around both doors, gold paint. A very clean early clock
