"Ansonia Brass Co, Ansonia, Conn", ca 1854-1869. Very few clocks manufactured during this period following the factory fire of 1854. Phelps, Dodge & Co., owners of the old Ansonia business made clocks in small numbers usually labeled, "Ansonia Brass Co". 18 inch rosewood case, a few chips on the base up about 1/4 inch, otherwise case is excellent. Great label. 8 day movement strikes, and is running.
