"Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn", ca 1845-1855. 8 day, time only, signed fusee movement held by mounting blocks, and is running. Short drop, octagon top case, one of the early models probably made for export to England. Door on side of case to hook pendulum. Full label inside, period pendulum, hands, and nice original zinc painted dial. 21 inch figured mahogany veneer case has a veneer border around the edges and across the case between the 2 glasses. Entire back is hinged to open and access the inside.
