"Sperry & Shaw, New York", agents for several clock makers, and opened up the English market for American clocks. It is not established if one or more makers made this type 4 column clock. I have owned them with many different labels, including Seth Thomas. They take a wafer weight, 30 hour brass movement, and have a flat bottom and top. This case is 25 1/2 inches high, great mahogany veneer, 4 full turned columns, beautiful painted zinc dial, excellent original geometric glass, period weights and pendulum.
