New Haven Clock Co., "San Remo" hanging porcelain thirty-hour timepiece. Case is in perfect condition and floral decorations and gilt work are exceptionally well preserved. Dial has been very skillfully repapered with New Haven trademark applied. Hands are original. The gilt braided rope looks good, but the catalog shows a velvet ribbon and bow which no doubt disintegrated long ago, but could be easily reproduced. See Tran Duy Ly's New Haven Clocks and Watches, 1997, p. 466. These novelty items do not turn up in this nice of shape very often. Height 6.5Ó without rope. $200-$300
