This is a rosewood and marquetry case, with some restoration. The case has some veneer chips on the corners of the base and some roughness on the top; some holes evidencing old wood worm activity. Someone has painted the feet, base molding and top molding with gold paint. These areas would need to be restored. The gilt capitals and bases are in good condition, with brigHeight gilding. The numbers on the dial has been poorly redone. The minute hand is a replacement (and does not match). The pendulum bob is dirty, lost its gilding, and will need restoration. 8-day movement signed J.B.Wilbor, Paris, has incorrect bell and one dial foot has pulled out. Potential for the rigHeight workman. Height 19.75Ó $550-$650
