C.1750, English, Atkinson, Shefield, movement with brass dial, 30-hour single hand, as found. This "bird cage" movement has potential, currently without weight or pendulum, but with a recently made brass mount for attaching it to the wall. The 10Ó dial has intricate seaweed spandrels, one of which is missing a corner. There is a simple calendar dial above 6, interesting because it reveals a sun in the center , the date showing in a small aperture just below the center of the dial. The screw that holds the bell standard is lost, so the original bell and stand are loose. Potential here for the English connoisseur. $450-$550
