C.1890, English, Bronze Nautical Desk set, clock and barometer. These items were retailed by Bond Street firms in London and we have had them with names such as J.W.Benson and Aspreys on the dial; however these silvered dials have no signatures. The well made timepiece movement has a substantial English lever platform spanning the plates; rear wind with an integral folding key. The Aneroid barometer is also of high quality with engraved and silvered brass scales (and also with a curved tube F( thermometer); note reference hand is set by turning the entire ship's wheel.
