Eight-day movement strikes quarters on two bells and hours on one. Note articulated set up strikes bells horizontally. Nice open center porcelain with tiny hairline cracks near 1 and 9:00; numerals painted in Royal blue. Original hands. Movement numbered 1450 and is marked "P. Bly" with an ebauche mark "Pons" and noting gold medal, 1827. Nice original brass pendulum with handsome engraving on bob. Gold plated brass pillar is highly detailed and gilding is excellent. Black base and glass dome are not period. (some is not shown in main photo) Height without dome 12Ó $1,000-$1,500
