C.1900, French, Crystal Regulator, in the fanciest case we have seen in a while, and in excellent original condition with gilding intact. This case has applied multicolor enamels (similar to cloisonne), in dark red, blue, aqua and white; covering bands across both bottom and top, plus the small columns that flank the doors (front and back), and the large columns that flank the sides, also the caps of all 6 finials, the large urn at top, dial center plus bezel and lastly the pendulum. This is an eye full to say the least. The well made French movement by Japy (with their medallion stamp) strikes the hours and halves on a coiled wire gong. Height 14.5Ó $2,250-$3,250
