This is a well made clock, the movement with crown/ verge escape and striking on a bell behind the cupola; on the half hour, it give a single "ting-tang", using a second hammer and smaller bell nested below the hour bell. The brass mounts of the case are mostly repousse. Now the case was restored maybe 75 years ago and completely painted an olive green color with yellow and pink roses (those roses were done by a good artist). Some folks may be put off by the color, but I don't think it is so bad. Porcelain dial has no chips, but some hairlines along the lower edge; silk style pendulum is old but distressed; will need a new rod; clock ticks and strikes, second hammer at the half hour is a bit lame. Hard to estimate this, so we will offer a generous range Height 38Ó $1,250-$2,500
