The gold leafing work on the case is new. Both tablets, which are beautiful, are new and unfortunately the throat glass is cracked. The original dial is mounted in the case with three L shaped fasteners. The bottom bracket has a little damage just above the acorn shaped drop. The early movement has a T-bridge escapement and filister screws. Retains a set of nice barbed hands. The lower door is fastened by an L shaped turn screw. The finial is a replacement. The bezel glass is cracked. Otherwise a decent early banjo. There is a picture of this movement in "Willard's Patent Time Pieces" by Paul Foley on pg 125. Height 40Ó $1,250-$1750
