This clock has two 10 inch porcelain dials, the one with center seconds, movement with pinwheel escapement, in a slim brass case with once gilt starburst surround. The movement suspends of a brass and steel gridiron (with oval flat rods), and oscillates without apparent impulse. The clock is complete with ceiling mount, suspension and impulse rod. The dials are excellent; hands are old replacements (originals were moon style). This is one of the more elaborate one of these we have seen, and the minor restorations of cleaning and changing the hands is certainly warranted. The sister to this clock sold in Sotheby's Meraux sale, June 28, 1993, lot 290, for $6900. Height 58Ó $6,750-$7,750
