Veneer wise the case is pretty nice with a couple of veneer repairs on the door, small chips on the base and small chip at the peak. This clock lost its dial at some time and the current dial, from another old clock, sets half an inch higher, with the result the movement has been raised in the case a half inch [old holes are there and line up]. They then added a B+I signature to the dial. The proper signed movement had brass springs originally, but now has steel. Glasses are original and the lower tablet is a good cut and frosted glass, with attractive lyre pattern. Potential here if you have a B+I dial, even a new dial would be better; see also lot 510. These bring $1800 when correct. Height 19Ó $700-$900
