This is a pretty clock with tortoise shell veneer (red coloring underneath), brass stringing inlay and gilt ormolu mountings. There are a couple of minor repairs to the tortoise shell veneer, plus some small splits and lifting. The dial is perfect with original hands. The square multi piece dial has velour behind the chapter and spandrels, and that was originally red, now faded and with some tears. Overall a well made and attractive clock. Height 15.25Ó $750-$1,000
