C.1825, French, 8-day time/strike 3 piece clock set. This Louis XVI style black and white marble clock with applied ormolu mountings is in good condition. The black marble block on the rigHeight side that supports the movement has been broken and repaired, while the other side has a couple of tiny chips. The white marble column bases have a little roughness. The porcelain dial has a chip at rigHeight winding holes. The well made bell strike movement retains original silk thread pendulum with ormolu sunburst. The gilt hands are original. The left finial just above the black marble block has a small dent. The two marble candleholders are 20th Century and one of them has a chip on the base. A genuine period clock with a reasonable estimate. Height 14Ó $300-$500
