This particular frame is well documented in all skeleton clock books, but especially in Derek Roberts book titled British Skeleton Clocks, on pages 68-69. The front of York Minster had the prominent west facing towers completed in 1472, and this frame favors the silhouette of the church. The clock we are selling has been in storage and is dry and dusty. It will require a dome a minimum of 22Ó tall. Note elaborately fretted dial with individual porcelain numerals in royal blue. The movement is of Evan's highest quality with 6 spoke wheel-work throughout. Other than the dust and no dome, in very good original condition, complete and sound. Height 23.5Ó $4,500-$5,500
