Unsigned, France, circa 1810. Fine eight day-going "Capucine" alarm clock. C. Rectangular, matte and gilded, ormolu bezel with foliate pattern, four finials, four feet, bell at the top surmounted by a large handle. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring. Blued steel, Breguet hands. M. Rectangular, brass, going barrel, anchor escapement, short pendulum, silk suspension regulated by a knob on the back of the top panel. Dim. Height 26 cm., width 9 cm.
