Very fine and rare center-seconds, 8 day-going skeletonized mantle regulator with date and special seconds-beating escapement. C. Rectangular marble base with canted corners, four turned and gilt brass feet, two marble blocks on each side set in ormolu moldings supporting the movement. D. White enamel ring with Breguet hour chapter, outer minute dot divisions with 15-minute Arabic markers, outermost date ring of Breguet numerals within gold paillon-like cartouches separated by ruby-colored hardstones set in gold rosette settings, ormolu bezel. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Brass, reverse Y-shape, mainspring barrel set athe top, four-wheel train, pin wheel escapement, double pinned escape wheel (Lepaute type) with impulse delivered by one side only, the other is for locking which is done by pivoted detent, brass-steel gridiron pendulum mounted in front of the dial with knife-edge suspension, heavy brass "lentil" bob, micrometric beat adjustment on the crutch.
