Ridel a Paris, circa 1805, the enamels by Coteau. Very fine gilt bronze, grillotte red marble and enamel eight-day going, hour and half-hour striking skeleton clock with Republican calendar. C. Rectangular grillotte red marble base on four gilt bronze feet. Four short white marble columns supporting a semi-circular arched frame applied with an azure enameled panel by Coteau (signed on the enamel backing) with gold leaf borders on the semi-circular base, gilt bronze flowers, and an eagle at the top. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals and outer red Republican calendar ring of 30 days. Azure outer circle matching that of the arch. Gilt brass pierced and engraved hands.. Brass circular, with going barrels both for the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, short pendulum, silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial. Dim. 40x22x11 cm.
