A petite and unique French mantle clock with Diana in her slipper chariot being pulled along by a swan while playing with her dog. The case is of crisp "Parian" and gilt bronze decoration. The applied ornamentations are composed of scorpions, scalloped shells and mask heads. The brass movement is signed: "VINCENTI a PARIS"- Medaille d'Argent, 1855. The porcelain dial is signed "Bauret a Paris", having fancy gilt hands and surrounded with an engine turned bezel. Height: 12 inches (30cm) Width: 10 inches (25cm)
