A unique early English wall clock in a figured mahogany case. The hook and spike movement has a brass dial signed: Northen , HULL It is time and alarm, anchor escapement and crown wheel for the alarm. There are two pear-shaped cast weights, held by old chain. The hood pulls forward and the front door opens, having a glassed circular opening. This hood is latched with brass hooks at the back to secure it. The door in the lower case has an ivory escutcheon and is keyed. The dial has waxed in roman numerals. The hands are spayed. Dial measures 61/2 inches. Height: 58 inches (147cm) Width: 7 inches (18cm)-at trunk Depth: 5 inches (13cm)-at trunk
