The 8 day time only, weight driven movement is old and correct for this clock. It is signed properly and identical to the movement pictured with the Regulator No.18 in the Seth Thomas catalogs. The movement is secured to an iron back plate, has Graham dead beat escapement and maintaining power. This is a well made 54 inch walnut case with a very eye pleasing finish. Pendulum bob is not correct and the stick was made to represent an original. 14 inch dial is painted on a new pan. The brass dial ring band inside the bezel is correct as are the hands, brass weight, brass beat scale, pulley, door lock, and knob.If you would replace the incorrect bob this would be a fine clock that most collectors would love to have.
