Ansonia Clock Co. hanging "Bagdad", ca 1904.
Before you look at anything else, examine the outstanding glass. In all my clock years I have not seen an original glass, in any clock, this nice. You will notice there are flowers, butterfly, bird, and the best part is the center with the initials, "ACCo". There is one very small chip in the bottom right corner that I could have disguised or repaired, but I preferred not to bother with it.An excellent oak case, 50 1/2 inches high. Top ornament has been broken and repaired satisfactorily. The case was lightly cleaned as there is still an accumulation of black smoke and tars in the cracks and crevices. Glass on 3 sides, old pendulum bob. The paper dial is original as is the signed beat scale. There is a full label on the back. Ly-Ansonia, pages 182-183.
