This is an unusual weight clock. There are two weights hanging down, one each side, but both wind from the one arbor above the six. The movement is 8 day, time only, with dead beat escapement. From all appearances this is an original old clock with fancy carvings, cutouts, applied pieces, all original to the case. It is walnut, 50 inches high, original putty on all 3 glasses, and a nice burl walnut panel at the base. There is a dated sticker on the back, 1899. The brass bob and weights are right for the clock Signed. paper dial is 8 inches, with a seconds dial. Ly-Gilbert No.353.
