Undoubtedly America's most poplar clock. They must have made millions of them and it is still one of the best sellers that we have. The case is made of old oak veneer, 36 inches high. The color and veneer are good except some minor loss on the base. There is a small section to reveneer if you can do it yourself, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it as it is hardly noticeable. There is an old label inside the case.An 8 day, time only, weight movement. It has Graham dead beat escapement, maintaining power, and is running very strong. It has strong, well finished plates that are secured to an iron back plate. Dial has been nicely repainted. The brass accessories appear to be original to this clock. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 110-111.
