Rare French museum type clock, signed "Balduc Freres" Large marble and bronze case is 22 inches wide, 20 inches high, capped with a large bronze eagle. You will want to find a permanent location and leave it there as it takes 2 people to move it and you won't be changing locations every day or so. Movement is 8 day, bell strike, outside count wheel, and signed "Balduc Freres", the family of the great French clockmakers. Brass back door, dial center, and well cast bronze mounts and swags to the sides and front. White porcelain dial, open escapement, and beveled glass.This very rare clock came to us for dispersal along with other fine clocks belonging to a wealthy eastern family. It had been with the same family over 100 years.
