French green and white onyx mantle clock. Green & white onyx with bronze trim all around which include the top ornament, side pieces of mythical animals, and front decorations. Feet are probably not original to the clock although they are very old. Top ornament also may have been added as there are 3 holes in the top piece of onyx, and this ornament only takes1 hole. The case is 16 1/2 inches high.8 day movement is running but out of beat. Strikes a standing gong on the half hours. Movement is signed "L.Marti", has the correct pendulum.2 piece porcelain dial with open escapement, French sash, beveled glass. A decorative bronze back door. One piece of onyx missing on the base in back. Some separation in onyx veins but no cracks or chips noticeable.
