When Lewis went to work for Welch, Spring, & Co. these clocks were added to the Welch line with the Welch black and gold label on them. This rare 8 day, time only, round movement is not pictured in any of the catalogs. It has the Lewis "Y" perpetual calendar mechanism. The calendar dial is signed "Lewis" on the front. Clock is running just fine.17 inch rosewood case is extra nice. Some wear of black paint on the trim, particularly just to the left of the lower key. I could have easily touched it up, but now I can say, all original, and untouched. About 2/3 of the B.B.Lewis-Welch, Spring, black and gold label on the back of the case. Ly-Calendar, page 170, No.436 (B.B.Lewis) and page 349, Welch, Spring & Co.
