Note the 4 large claw feet. Key lock back door with key.8 day movement strikes half hours on a standing gong, clock is running. 10 inch silver dial, etched numerals and divisions, numerals highlighted. The dial is signed, "French Royal Exchange London". The company was in business since 1806, trademark registered 1876. Their clocks were manufactured in London and probably sold in France also, which would account for the name "French" on the dial. This is a substantial, heavy clock.
