This reproduction has a German balance wheel movement and the wood case is only 24 1/2 inches tall. The clock is operating properly. White mouse climbs up the clock until it gets to 1 o'clock then falls back down to the bottom, striking a bell. We have only had 2 of the old mouse clocks that sell for $2500 or more, but a dozen or more of these affordable look-a-like mouse clocks.
